Facility Description
Serving as an end point to the Ag Quad, Mann Library consists of a long rectangular block, with central extended block. The smooth ashlar foundation rises to a rusticated first floor base detailed much in the same manner as Comstock and Caldwell Halls. The main block has nine bays, the center seven delineated by engraved pilasters with abbreviated capitals, and help to give the building a Neo-Classical flavor. The tall, vertical center windows illuminate the interior floors and reading rooms. This building, with Art Deco elements on the interior and exterior, serves as an important punctuation point to the Ag Quad. This site was originally occupied by the Farm Management Building, demolished in 1951 to make room for this building.
